As part of our response to the Thy Kingdom Come Initiative, from Ascension Day (10 May) until Pentecost (20 May) there will be a cross in the church from which ribbons may be hung in memory of loved ones we have lost, and a basket at the foot of the cross in order to place prayer requests. The basket will be carried to the altar at Pentecost and a prayer said in memory of all those commemorated by ribbons on the cross.
In addition, Ian Scott is kindly coming to the church on the morning of Tuesday 15 May in order to set up his prayer stations, which will be available after the 11.00am service that day (11.45am–12.45pm) and from 3.00pm till 6.00pm during the afternoon. The church is open to all to come and share in this experience. Click the image above to download a poster.
