On Sunday 23 December, our 11.00am service will take the form of a Christingle service. You’ll get to take away a Christingle as a visual reminder of the Christmas story. Each element of the Christingle has a special meaning :
- The orange represents the world
- The red ribbon (or tape) symbolises the love and blood of Christ
- The sweets and dried fruit represent all of God’s creations
- The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness.
Christingles are popular with children, but the message of hope is for everybody, so do spread the word. Click here for a downloadable poster.
