Christingle service

10 December 2019

On Sunday 22 December, our 11.00am service will take the form of a Christingle service. You’ll get to take away a Christingle as a visual reminder of the Christmas story.

Please do come along – all are most welcome. Our Eucharist service will be led by Father Gareth Benson.

Each element of the Christingle has a special meaning:

  • The orange represents the world
  • The red ribbon (or tape) symbolises the love and blood of Christ
  • The sweets and dried fruit represent all of God’s creation
  • The lit candle represents Jesus’s light in the world, bringing hope to people living in darkness
